The NSF-GK12 program enhances and expands collaborative partnerships between Louisiana Tech University and surrounding school systems. Teaching Fellows, Partner Teachers, and University Faculty participate in an on-line electronic learning community that focuses on issues related to the learning and teaching of science; this on-line network fosters communication and collaboration among all participants and serves as a resource for all. In addition, K-12 students and Teaching Fellows work together to prepare articles for publication in a new journal sponsored by CATALyST, The Journal of K-12 Research in Science and Mathematics.
